Rader to Host Upcoming Shredding, Collection Event
October 1, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) is inviting residents in the area to his upcoming shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 18. The free event will take place at Pocono Raceway, 1234 Long Pond Road in Long Pond, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“It is important to provide an opportunity for people to securely shred sensitive paperwork to protect against identity theft,” said Rader “In addition to shredding, this free event will allow people to properly dispose of other old items. I encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity.”
There is a four-box limit for shredding.
Residents can also dispose of old tires, up to four with no rims, and drop off unused and outdated prescription drugs. Also being recycled are cell phones, used books and up to four old gas grill propane tanks.
License plate replacement is also available at this event. Registration for this service can be completed by calling the Blakeslee office at 570-643-7683.
