Rader Announces State Grants Totaling $1.4 Million for Community Improvements and Public Safety in 176th District

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) today announced more than $1.4 million in Local Share Account grants from gaming revenues have been awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to projects in the 176th Legislative District.
“These investments make a real difference, supporting infrastructure improvements and public safety projects that directly impact daily life in our communities,” said Rader. “I’m proud to partner with local officials to help secure this state funding and bring these important resources back home.”
The local grants include:
• Chestnuthill Township – $253,445 for stormwater management system improvements along Woods Crossing.
• Monroe County - $35,000 for door replacement at the Burn Building Training Facility in Hamilton Township.
• Monroe County Industrial Development Authority –
o $56,328 for the purchase of a Polaris Ranger emergency vehicle and skid unit for Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Fire Company.
o $90,000 for rehabilitation of a historic stone bridge in Eldred Township.
o $43,444 for the purchase of portable radios for Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company.
o $175,824 for the repair of a hillside retaining wall at Kunkletown Volunteer Fire House.
o $100,000 for the purchase of an EMS vehicle for LVHN EMS.
o $85,000 for an HVAC replacement at Masonic Lodge in Hamilton Township.
o $43,713 for the purchase of lifesaving rescue equipment and tanker tools for Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company.
o $150,000 for the demolition of existing dangerous structure and improving the safety of parking facilities for R.A.T.T. Rentals LLC in Jackson Township.
o $26,041 for kitchen equipment expansion for Smoking Pigs and Boils LLC in Chesnuthill Township.
o $23,100 for the restoration of the Old Township Post Office with the Eldred Township Historical Society.
o $310,950 for the installation of refrigeration and technology equipment in the gymnasium of the West End Food Pantry in Eldred Township.
Local Share Account grants support economic development, job training, community improvement and public interest projects through gaming funds under Act 71 of 2004.
